Audio Systems: Car stereo CD player, fuse block, blown fuse

Question
I have a Prestige Audiovox stereo.  I disconnected the neg. side of battery to replace the water pump. Upon reconnection of the battery, the radio has no power--All fuses are good--I have power to memory but not to radio.

                        Thanks,

Answer
unfortunatly I have heard of a few times when people have hooked up the battery and the surge blows the radio and the fuse cant react fast enough to block it.
Try unpluging the wiring harness from the stereo and let it sit for a day and hook it back up to see if that helps reset it if that's what it needs.
some stereos have a fuse in a little box on the wire or a small blade fuse on the back of the unit.  check these when you have the unit out.  also there's a fuse in the fuse block that goes to the radio so you may have missed one along the way.  best thing to do if the reset doesnt work and you cant find a blown fuse is to use a meter.  if you dont have one you can get one for about 20 bucks at walmart or radioshack or any auto place or homedepot.  I'll be happy to help you use it to test the wires.  there has to be 3 wires that work for the stereo to come to life.
so let me know what happens with the reset and checking for more fuses and when you have a meter.
good luck!
