Audio Systems: CAR AMPLIFIER, car amplifier, playing my music

Question
one day when i was driving, i was playing my music system pretty loud, then all of a sudden my sound from the subwoofers just stopped. the amplifier still comes on but there is no sound going through the channels.

so what im asking is ... is there a way to fix the problem without having to buy a brand new amplifier and how?

Answer
First off, test the amp with a known working test speaker.
If that does not work, test it out of the vehicle with a test speaker.
If the amp needs repaired, it is likley the input Diode near where the power wire goes into the board.
