The FM signal fades after a while of use.  It's almost like the signal is between settings on the radio. (eg. 98.7 seems to be between 98.7 and 98.5 on the digital setting)  If you turn it off for a while, it will come back to proper setting and then fade again after a while.

I'm sorry to say I've never heard anything like this, but it sounds like a faulty capacitor which is building up a charge even while it's turned off, but running out slowly as it plays until it can no longer provide enough power to boost the system.  You can take it in for repairs although you might find it cheaper to replace.  Just make sure you recycle it if you replace it.  Good luck!  Cheers, Wink
