Audio Systems: sat.radio, satillite radio, foot print

I put a satillite radio in my dads car and soon as he leaves the city he gets no signal everythih is in properly wire job is perfect no signal outside city limits is my problem

Answer
It is, then, a satellite foot print coverage problem.  The city pattern for reception can be found at the broadcasters site and if they are on terrestial repeaters for your area it merely means they do not have coverage outside the city area.

So, check with Sirius or XM, whichever one you are using.
