Audio Systems: Saab in trunk cd changer, dash unit, pin plug

Hello,

 I r ecently bought a used Saab that has a fctory installed Clarion 6 cd changer in t he trunk.   I can not get it  to play.  There is power to it, as it makes some search noises which I load the cd cassette, but the cd butoon on the dash unit will not respond.  Any ideas?  Is the 13 pin round connector maybe damaged?

there is only one din 13 pin plug from the cd changer to the radio at front radio sends power and commands to cd changer using this cable the cd changer send the comand to the radio and the audio on the same cable  if the cd changer is receiving power and reading one by one of the discs the radio needs to show some cd infomation or error  this cable can be cut somewhere  when this cd changer fails it gives 2 errors
no cd no disc error or E1- E2

what happends when you press the cd button on the head unit?
what radio is this ? is there a eq or sound prossesor ?
