Audio Systems: treadmill audio, using headphones, headphone jack

Question
What is the best way to set up an audio system to listen to the TC while on a treadmill?  We have one of the quietest treadmills available but we still have to turn up the TV and receiver sound to listen.  We have surround sound already and the receiver has a headphone jack.  The treadmill is far enough from the TV that plugging headphones directly into the receiver is both inconvenient and could be dangerous.  I don't like the size of the wireless headphones.  I wouldn't mind using headphones I already have if I had someplace on the treadmill to plug them in.  Any suggestions?

Answer
well, looks to me that you either need more power coming from the speakers or a set of head phones.  the easiest thing may just be to go to radioshack and get a cable that acts as a heaphone extension wire.  then you can do things like maybe tuck the wire under the carpet leading closer to the tredmill and secure the wire up the side of the tredmill. then you could leave a nice loop so while you're jogging you have a little slack.  your reciever and headphones are probably 1/4 inch stereo and radioshack has 12 foot 1/4 cables and adapters.
the other alternative (always my favorate!) MORE POWER!!  I have 6 external amplifiers running my home theater.  if your speakers are rated for 100-150 watts most likely they can take alot more IF the power is clean and what we call "clip free"  I have a client of mine that owns a set of Infinity Primus 250s rated for 150 watts each.  he's running them with a behringer EP1500 amp rated for 700 watts per channel 1400 total and has never blown them.
Let me know what you think.
