Audio Systems: Using CD Deck as preamp only, rca jacks, wirenuts

Hello,
I want to use my cd reciever as a preamp only, to output to a
seperate amp via RCA jacks.  The amp will be powering the only
speakers in the car (2 front doors).  Should I just disconnect the
speakers from head unit or do I need to take other precautions in
order to not harm the reciever from having no load on the speaker
outputs?

no special anything needed, just cap them off with wirenuts so they are sure to not touch eachother or gound and you'll be fine.  I own 3 cars and all are done this way and I've done several for friends that are this way as well.  in fact I never use the internal amp if I can help it.
