Audio Systems: code for 1996 Honda radio, number sequences, factory radio

Hi Jerry
I got a great deal for the car but cannot use the radio as the code is not anywhere to be found. and I am told by the previous owner that the radio is still good but she cannot remember the code and the number is missing.
What alternatives can you think of to get this going? If any?

At 10 years old, I would suggest to replace it.

If you must use the factory radio:
I would advise to get all of the number sequences you can find on the radio and write them down.
Write down the VIN number for the vehicle (located on the dash).
Call or visit a Honda Dealer>Service and ask for the proper code and instruction on in-puting it to the radio.
