Audio Systems: Car radio, speedometer, audi a4, climate control

I bought an 1996 AUDI A4
At night when i turn on my lights half of my speedometer doesnt light up and buttons on my radio do not light up but the radio screen does, also some other buttons like the climate control do not light up while some others do. Also i tried decoding my radio but when i press the buttons needed to decode it the radio does not respond. please help me thanks

Hmmm, sounds like multiple faults, some radio and some car related.
Speedo is most likely to be the bulb there are a couple in the back of the instruments.
Never had an A4 speedo apart but it may be the same problem as most switches are fed with a fibre optical cable so it could be the same bulb that's the culprit.
The radio sounds like a front panel connection problem. Check the contact between the facia and the set are clean and there’s no gung in there.
