Audio Systems: Speakers, sound reproduction, watt speaker

I am getting a new tv with a 10 watt speaker on each side.Is this adequate?It has Surround Sound MTS. Is this good?What does MTS mean?Thanks!

MTS is stereo for tv.

10 watts is okey if the speakers are suitable for that ampliier.

The real way to tell is this:  Listen to it and play it like you would at your home.  Sound reproduction is very subjective and if you like it, then you are happy.
