Audio Systems: Hiss problem ?, old blaupunkt, mercedes c 180

Question
Hello !

I have a 1993 Mercedes C 180 (W202). I have recently removed my old Blaupunkt and a disc changer with a new Blaupunkt Santa Cruz MP36. But now I have this strange problem - if I listen to FM radio stations everything is OK, but when I switch to CD or even AUX (I don't have the disc changer anymore, only radio) there is a hiss comming from the speakers. Now the car engine is off, so it's not a problem from there. Also, the hiss is constant, it dosen't change if I turn the volume up.

What could be the prblem ? Oh, I'm pretty new to this, so please if you use any tehnical terms explain them to me as easy as possible.

Thank you.

Toni

Answer
HELLO:
THE SIGNAL FROM YOUR RADIO IS TO STRONG FOR THE FACTORY MERCEDES AMPLIFIERS  you need to lower the signal from the radio by adding a soundgate interface or by removing the amplifiers and wiring the radio to the speakers
if it was my vehicle  i will keep the amplifiers

here is the interface that you need  and to order this is the number 407-396-1194
