Audio Systems: amplifier, two subs, switch one

hi this is jim again what if my two subs have one port coming out of the sub box

Well, first, are you confirming that I am understanding your question correctly? the speakers stroke back and forth but little or no sound is produced? the 2 speaker's wiring are conenected in a Y arrangement inside the box, there's the line coming in from the outside and it splits and goes to each sub.  If they pos and neg of 1 speaker is switched here, that would cause the problem of the speakers moving back and forth but not makeing much sound.  find this splice and switch one.  OR you could remove 1 sub and switch the wires right on it.
