Audio Systems: Moving brackets on a cd player, chevy blazer, spongberg

Question
I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer, and I found another stereo with a cd player, but the brackets are on the side rather than top mount like the one I have now.  Can these brackets be moved to make install the cd player?

Depending on the units, it may be possible Marie but I would need to see it in person.
