Audio Systems: Kicker Amp, dual voice coil, kicker amp

I have a 400 watt kicker amp and 1 10 inch solobaric L5. My amp will come on sometimes but wont stay on that long before cutting off and  i dont think its over heating because its not on long enough and i dont even have the bass or gain turned up over half way, so i think the problem might be the ground but i dont know what to do to fix it.

The solobaric is a dual voice coil configuration. I suspect you have a very low impedance on the amp that is overloading it.

Tell me how you have it configured.  If the kicker is in dual mode and each output connected to one of the coils you should be okey.  But, if you have the amp in bridge mode and the coils in parallel (1 ohm) you are in big trouble.

So, let me know that and we can take it from there.
