Audio Systems: car audio, fuse boxes, blown fuse

Question
Hey. I have a 1990 honda accord. I tried to install a new deck and managed to get a spark. I know what went wrong and I found a blown fuse. Now neither stereo will work ( the factory or the new sony). What else could be wrong? All other lights etc are working fine. Could the wiring be fried. I used a new wiring harness to connect the new stereo but because the old deck won't work either I am assuming that I messed something else up. The automatic antenna won't go up either.
Thanks
Corey

Answer
You still have a bad fuse somewhere.  Hondas have two fuse boxes; one under the hood and one under the dash near the steering column.

The antenna may have a fuse in the 12 v wire that feeds the motor; look for that, too.

You must make sure you are using the right harnass and that all the wires are going to the right places.  The only way to know for sure it to trace them out with an ohmmeter (walmart for $9.83) and verify, for example the speaker wires for each speaker are coming in on such and such wires; then tag them with a piece of tape, etc.

Then, look at:

www.crutchfield.com
and
www.installdr.com

for further guidance.  The latter URL has a wiring guide for you to follow.

Take a look at:
http://installdr.com/InstallDocs/Honda/PDF/466033.pdf

Hope this gets you going; but, you may have damaged the new deck.  Hope not; hope you get it going.
