Audio Systems: Subwoofer Amp RCA repair., subwoofer amp, mouser electronics

Question
Hey Garry,

I have a Crunch 1000watt amp running two Infinity 12 inch Reference Series subs.  I have the amp bridged over two channels running 450 watt RMS in MONO.  My subs recently started to sound like they were lacking. Turns out my right channel is not working on the amp.  I put the left and right RCA in the the Left channel and it works fine,  but when I put the either of the RCA's into the right channel there is no sound.  I don't think that mono mode would be effecting this, correct?  I know bass is not really particular on channels since its running mono but I would like to have the extra audio input.

I am fairly technically and electronically savy.

Is it that difficult to change out the RCA?  How could I figure out if it is just the input jack or something on the mainboard of the amp?

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you,
-Winston

Answer
first try something simple and open amp up and clean the bridge switch with some good cleaner like 'de ox id' and make sure the switch's solder points haven't broken loose, if you're sure you need to replace the rca jack, remove it, and try to find exact replacement from somwhere like partsexpress.com or mouser electronics (i'm not sure of their web addy so i didn't even attempt)....
