Audio Systems: wiring, pioneer deh, kulesa

Question
Hi Mark,

I need to know if I can get a free diagram for my car stereo. I can't find a website or diagram that tells or shows what wires go to what and what the wire color coding is for it. Like which wires are for the speakers, power, lights,.... The stereo is a Pioneer DEH-345. If it helps the serial # is SEMP094276UC.

                         Thanks if you can help,
                                    Jacob Kulesa

Answer
dont know about that specific model.  looked on pioneer's site and they weren't too helpful too!
Usually there are 3 wires for power
red is usually switched posative (only on when key is in)
Yellow is usually constant postative
Black is usually ground
The speaker wires are usually brown, green, purple, white, or grey.  any time you see 2 colors the same and one has a black stripe (green wire and green with black stripe wire, or brown wire and brown with black stripe) those are your speaker wires and you can tell which one is witch by using the balance and fade controls on the cd player to push the sound to the front left and hooking it up and seeing which speaker is the loudest, then fading to the front right and seeing which one is loudest, etc.

This may not be a direct answer but it shows you how to find out which wire is witch on your own and will help you with every install.
Good luck and let me know how it goes!  please feel free to ask again if nessesary.
