Audio Systems: Amplifier wiring, jeep wrangler sport, jeep wrangler

I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport.  I'm looking to drop my old amp and sub combo into my rig but ran into a bit of a snag.  There is no remote out on my factory cassette deck and don't plan on upgrading for some time yet.  I was wondering if it was possible to patch the remote turn on cable into the fuse box and how this was done.  Thanks in advance.

usually the easiest way is to see if the cig lighter only works when the key is in the on and run posistions and doesnt work when the key is out.  if so, just splice the posative wire going to the cig lighter and there's your remote wire!
If the cig lighter works with the key out dont use it. I'll help you find something else.
