Audio Systems: Stero Swap, bose systems, stero system

Kelly Not really sure if you can answer this but I have always like the sound of Bose Stero System. My 04 Silverado did not come stock and have a chance to buy a stock system out of a 04 Silverado, I have been told it a wast of timecan never duplicate stock instalation our can you suggest an after market system that has as a clear sound like the Bose system. I hate Bose systems and cannot tell you enough to AVOID them.
You would be chasing noise, popping, and amps that break down constantly.
And as for my recommendation for a system, how about ANY aftermarket system. "No highs, and no lows? Must be BOSE."
Seriously, you also need an adaptor if you intend to change the factory CD player out, as the computer communicates with the stereo. They are expensive, but worth it. Even just adding a stealthbox subwoofer, amp, and better door speakers would do worlds better than your existing system, OR a BOSE system.
