Audio Systems: raidio wont work, buick skylark, factory radio

i just took out a alipine cd player out of my 1995 buick skylark... it worked great.. went to put in the factory radio.. it worked for like 10min.. and then stoped.. it comes on and is static.. but wont let me change channels.. and the display doesnt work.. any ideas? i check the fuse and its fine... im stumped please help......

basically sounds like the factory one just broke, maybe it sat around too long.  how long did you have the alpine in? I'm sure there is a reason but cant you just put the alpine back in or are you getting rid of the car or moving the alpine to another car or something like that?
There' shouldnt be much in the way or wiring that could do that so I think its the unit. you could check local junkyards, you may be able to get a 95 buick skylark radio from them for like 10 bucks.
