Audio Systems: Where does it go, cigar lighter, 94 plymouth acclaim

ok look i just got an Emerson MDM-4500 cd/mp3/wma player and i got a 94 plymouth acclaim i got a wiring harness and kit for the stereo but i cant figure out where the blue power cable hooks up to so without it the radio doesnt turn on so wut should i do

I think the blue power wire is the main power feed. It must go to the battery eventually, but through the ignition system.

Check to see if the cigar lighter is deactivated when the ignition is off, but on accessory. If so, that would be a good place to connect it because you can easily get under the dash and find a way to hook it to the same wire that feeds the cigar lighter.

Or, it can connect to other accessory switched circuits.

In the worst case, and ver easy to do , you can run a wire directly from the battery to an auxiliary switch that you mount somewhere on or under the dash. But, make sure there is a fuse in the line.  Also, make sure you switch it OFF when the car is not running; otherwise it will run the battery down when the player is left on.
