Audio Systems: CD changer problems - 99 toyota, car stereos, toyota factory

factory installed 6 disc in dash changer in 99 4 runner suddenly says ERR and won't release any CDs.  The scan feature is also screwed up.  And some of the strongest stations in my area now come in fuzzy.  Tape feature still works and seek/tune features work.  Any suggestions/ideas?

For car stereo and other mobile, low voltage questions, please go to the allexperts.com section Autos > Auto Repair > Car Radio/Stereo System Repair or you can try one of the other guys in “Audio Systems” who handles car stereos. I don’t.
