Audio Systems: no reception, fm modulator, mercury lincoln

Question
I pulled my mach stereo radio out of my 1998 Ford Explorer to install a FM modulator for XM and when I re installed it it is like I have no reception at all with or without the modulator hooked up.

the antenna wire is damage you need a new tip cut the old one and solder a new one alse stay away from fm modulator they sound very bad look in to a AUX input interface
