Audio Systems: jbl system 97 towncar, alpine cd, mael

i have a 97 towncar with the jbl system I would like to install my alpine cd player but use their speakers an amp.  Is that possible?

Anything is possible, but (imho) at nice years of age, interfacing to the existing system is hardly a great thing to 'go for' when updating.
Replace it all.
If you are really determined to hook up the alpine to the jbl stuff, I would suggest to visit www.crutchfield.com and talk with an online live rep about interfacing to the jbl setup in that 1991 TC.
They will have all of the information at their fingertips as to what will and will not work (easily).
