Question93 Suburban, stereo just stopped working. The clock shows 7:44, never changes. The only controls that do anything are the set and rcl. When I press "set" it says "set", then will not do anything. rcl switches it from clock to tuner, but can't change channels. No sound, nothing.... please help, thank you...
AnswerYour GM has the three part radio, the display above the heater, the cassette in the middle of the dash, and a silver "brain" above the gas pedal, right? Time to have a professional stereo shop replace the whole works with an aftermarket unit, and the proper install kits. You might be able to find replacement parts from an auto wrecker, but those 3 part units were never any good to start with. The keypad part failed all the time, and the cassette almost as often.
