Audio Systems: Radio station signal recieving ?, buick lesaber, attena

Question
Kelly

I Drive a Buick Lesaber 97 (attena in rear window)which had a factory Am/Fm cassett sterio system when I got it. It would pull in stations from miles away very clear.
I needed a CD player, so I got a AM/Fm cassett and cd player from the junk yard (It came from a 98 Buick Riv.) Installed it and it works but I have know where near the stations or the clearity that I use to have. My question is are these radios diffrent, and is there some adjustment I didnt know about.

Take the good with the bad

Answer
The only adjustment is internal to the radio. It is common for one OEM radio to not be tuned as well as the next. As for pulling in more stations, I give up on FM, and listen exclusively to XM satellite now. You could install a fender mount antenna, but I doubt you will get that much more reeption. Avoid FM boosters also, they don't work.
