Audio Systems: 97 Ford explorer stereo hookup, stereo hookup, eddie bauer edition

I have a 97 Eddie Bauer edition explorer and I am tring to put in a new head unit, but there is no avalible harness and I would like to know how I can rewire it to get the factory speakers to work. Please be as specific as possible.  Thanks!

An option would be to just cut the old connector off the car's harness and use a meter to find +12V constant, ground, and +12 triggered with the key. then use a AA or AAA battery against the remaining color pairs to locate each speaker (they will click when the battery is applied and you will know which speaker is which)  use butt connectors or solder and shrinktube or orange wirenuts to connect up to your cd player's harness.
