Audio Systems: Computer sub in a car?, aks acoustics, car amp

Question
I have a AKS Acoustics sub that was connected to my computer and gets power from a wall socket. but i have a new one and the sound system in my 99 f-150 is very bad becasue the subs are bad. Is there a way to wire this computer sub into the truck and how would i do that?

Answer
You could bypass the AC powered amp, wire right to the internal sub, and use a car amp. The disadvantage would be that the PC sub will not give the kind of bass response most vehicles need. You already need to buy an amp, buying a proper sub is not much more cash.
