Audio Systems: I want all the componets i.e...., connection option, mode version

I want all the componets i.e. DVD, TV, CD to come thru my stereo system how do I hook up the cables?  Does the DVD hook into the tv and tv to the stereo or?

“How to connect everything…” is one of those inquiries that one can quite literally write a small book about or at lease a series of magazine articles. Since this has been done much more comprehensively and eloquently than I can manage, I'm going to direct you to a web site, www.soundandvisionmag.com, which maintains a series of such articles which in turn cover virtually every conceivable connection option. Once you're at the site, click on “Archives”. At the archives page about half way down you'll see a series of “Back to Basics” articles. Each article has a "Print Mode" version so you can print it out and have it handy as you make the connections.
