Audio Systems: JBL factory stereo in 97Ford Explorer, mercury lincoln, ford mercury

Question
i'm using my ipod through a casette tape adapter.  at least 2-3 times daily, the system will eject the casette tape/adapter and T d E 1 will show up on the factory display.... i tried using a dry head cleaner, thinking it may have needed to be cleaned, but it still keeps happening.  what does this error message mean?

Answer
the radio is made to play 20 minutes per side tape  max 30 minutes if you read the owners manual it tells you there not to use 60 or 90 minutes tape
there is a plug that you can put on that radio and take the cd changer out
the radio will believe the ipod is a cd changer and control the ipod with the radio controls no more tapes it plugs in center console
