Audio Systems: No Sound & Video, longshot, satellite dish

Hello, I have a Panasonic 20inch TV, I'll be honest ..been used for about 15 years. Hooked to Dish, the video & Audio comes on for a few minutes then all i see is snow. No Sound no video. I opened the back cover but everything seemed ok. Is it time for a new one ? Thanks, Karl

Generally virtually *any* appliance that goes south after fifteen years of use is not worth repairing. If it turns out that your problem is the TV, I'd consider replacing it.

However, check all of your connections, especially the coaxial feed from the satellite dish. When these work lose--not "if" but "when"--they can compromise a clean signal and result in various anomalies, one of which is snow. Admittedly, this is a longshot.
