Audio Systems: Cant turn volume up, panasonic radio, exact models

Hi, I found this site using google. It seems that I can't turn up my volume past 10. I don't have the exact specs on my system. The problem is that for about 1 year everything worked fine, and I could turn the volume up as much as I wanted. Then one day I turn it up and the speaker volume gives out, leaving the subs to keep going. I was wondering if it is likley that it could have something do to with the amp in the panasonic radio I have?

Without knowing the layout of the system, all I could say is that it is possible.
It 'likely' that it is a shorted speaker wire or a bad ground.
