Audio Systems: aiwa model NSXNS55, blown fuse, diagnostic fee

My stereo surround sytem was working fine then my wife told me that it would not turn on . I checked to make sure that there was not a power problem (blown breaker in the house) and still no power light on unit . stereo bought new in '04 is this worth the repair?

Check for a blown fuse in the unit. Aiwa's now a division of Sony, so repair facilities should be easy to find.

The decision to repair or replace depends on what you paid for the unit, the repair cost, and the replacement cost. From what I've read, this model is fairly impressive and might be worth at least a diagnostic fee, generally in the $50-75 range.
