Audio Systems: Constant, ignition and illumination wires, illumination system, dodge neon

Question
Hello, my name is Diego and I read in ur forum about the wiring. I have some doubts if u know the answers, great!:

I have a 97 Dodge Neon and im trying to conect a the stero with the harness.
I conected de harness to the car, so the constant and the ilumination wires (pink and orange for dogge neon) didnt work but the igniton does so its not the fuse. I conected the constant to the lighter of the car bc its cosntant too, right? so now when I conect the screwdriver with the bulb to check, work constant without the car key and ignition with the car key in "on" position, but the ilumination, doesnt work. So my questions:
1.- Is it dangerous what I did with the 12V constant? (conectec it to the lighter wire)

2.- how can i fix o conect another wire to ilumination? how many Volts is required for that wire?

Thanks a lot

"I conected de harness to the car, so the constant and the ilumination wires (pink and orange for dogge neon) didnt work but the igniton does so its not the fuse."

You made a novice assumption, but that does not mean it is not a fuse or fusible link, it may simply mean it is not associtated with the ignition fuse.

Question #1)
12 volts DC is ALWAYS dangerous because it can burn a car to the ground. Install proper fuses [within 6" of the place you tap into it] and use them often to prevent problems.

Question #2)
What you have done so far does NOT indicate that you need to use a new wire/source for the illumination.
Try repairing the one you have 1st (fuses and/or bad connectors).
You need to find and inspect/replace the fuse for the instrument illumination then tap into the instrument lights somewhere like the cigarette lighter lamp wire.
Use a multimeter to determine how much voltage is available  from the neon illumination system (with the lights as bright as they will go) and go from there.
