Audio Systems: Alpine CDA 9805, alpine cda 9805, rca outputs

Question
I have a Alpine CDA 9805 (with 3sets of RCA jacks in back)... just hooking a simple amp, but can't seem to get the signal from the turner.  Not sure what settings I should alter on the turner itself.  I hooked the RCA's to the bottom set(subwoofer) of the 3sets in the back.  Can you help me?
Just fyi...amp and sub was in my other car and just moved to another car.  Everything connected okay and amp lights okay, just no sound out.
Thanks for any info...

Answer
Hi eric,
first you need to know if the problem is in the amp or in the radio, get another source (like a discman/ipod)and a 2 RCAs to a mini plug (the headphones ones) conect it to the amp (low the volume first!!)and see..ejem hear if you get any sound out of the amp, now you should know if the amp is working or not. I bet is in it the problem since most of the radios have controls in the setup  only for the sub out (like Freq, Level, Enable/Disable)but the front and rear outs are always working(i remember ones to have the choice of fixed/variable but no more)Besides if the radio speaker outs are working the RCA outputs cannot be damaged since both sources are connected togheter inside the radio.
If you want o be absolutely sure do another test, get something tha have an auxiliary input (boombox /computer speakers)and conect it to the radio output RCAs.
