Audio Systems: Speakers in Durango shutting off, 2005 dodge durango, dodge durango

Question
I have a 2005 Dodge Durango.  When I turn on the factory installed radio, it plays for about 10 seconds and then the speakers cut out (radio is still on with no sound).  I can turn the radio off and on again and the same thing happens unless I play the radio at a very high volume.  Then the speakers don't cut out.  What can my problem be, and how can I fix it?

It sounds(sorry for the pun)like the amp is going into protect mode, check if all the speakers sound when it works, also a short circuit in the speaker wiring can cause this, check for new instaled things (lights, accesories)or if you have been in the shop recently,(body shops are not the best friends of wirings!).
