Audio Systems: Satellite Radio Installation, sirius satellite radio, radio installation

Question
Can I wire my sirius satellite radio to the delay in my 2004 Silverado? I would like the satellite to remain powered as long as the radio does, instead of shutting down with the ignition, or manually powering it down.

Answer

Not sure what you mean by delay.
But IF the radio has a 'remote' out lead... no problem.

This lead is normally used to trigger amplifiers and other equipment 'on' when the radio is powered up,  and should be able to drive the sattelite receiver (through a relay [if not direct], since the remote lead has a limited amount of current it can provide).
If the sirius draws more than 500 ma (1/2 an amp), I would employ a 12vdc relay so you do not damage the remote circuit in the radio.
