Audio Systems: Auto CD Player, auto cd player, tray loading

I have a Dodge 2004 Intrepid --Recently the CD player stopped working. When a CD is inserted, I get a message reading --ERR--How do I correct this problem?

Chrisler radios are good, for a 2 years old one the cd should be dirty, but you will save money if you bring it to a shop, since the CD mechanism i very complicated to open. Please dont  try (if you did not do it already!) to use a cleaning CD because those are designed for TRAY loading and could do more damage than remedy.
