Audio Systems: MONSOON CD PLAYER, circuit city, preventive measure

HELLO JERRY;
IN MY 2003 GRAND AM I HAVE THE MONSOON RADIO SYSTEM AND CD. EVERYTHING IS WORKING EXCEPT THE CD PLAYER. WHEN I PUT A CD IN THE TRACK COMES ON THEN KICKS IT OUT AGAIN. WHAT CAN I DO. NOT HAPPY AT THIS POINT. FEMALE IN DISTRESS!!!!

If you cannot find a small recessed 'reset' button on the head unit, it is likely time for a new one. :(
You might try an Alsop cd cleaning system but factory units have never been known for how long they last, and such cleaning systems are intended as a routine preventive measure, not a fix.

Circuit City can probably install a moderate new one for 150.00 - 200.00 that also lets you play XM radio, CD-R and CD-RW as well as up to 256 MP3's per cd.

I know you are in distress but there is no need to shout!
