Audio Systems: Auto Factory Radio/CD Player, heat factor, factory radio

I have a 2001 Ford Super Crew F150 truck w/ factory AM/FM/CD.  It's a single disc CD in the dash, not a magazine type. In the past two months, the CD has been acting up more frequently as time goes on.  Basically, when the unit is hot (ie: has been playing a CD for an hour or two) the tracks will start skipping so badly that it is better to turn it off. This started oddly enough with the higher tracks on the disc such as tracks 7 and up. Then when it really acts up, all of them. When this happens, I can put in another disc and the radio won't go off and I get an error message saying, "No CD" or "No Disc" something like that. The discs are very hot to the touch when they come out. Twice since I've had the truck, the disc will eject and an error message says, "Disc Hot".  This happens with production (original) discs and burns alike.
I've cleaned it several times with a cleaner that looks like a regular disc only it has a couple of little light weight brushes built in. Have you heard anything like this?

in my ford truck, i can't use very much heater at all when i use my cd or i get the same type responses. i've been wanting to open dash and try insulating unit somehow. mine acts just fine in summer with a/c on or off, so it must be the heat factor. good luck..
