Audio Systems: 1998 Honda CD Player, cd cleaner, wiring harness

Hi Jerry,

I have a 1998 Honda with a factory installed CD Player.  When I insert a CD I get a "PEO" error and the CD ejects.  At first, the player would do it once in a while, but now it will not play any CD's. The owner's manual said to clean the CD player.  I purchased a CD cleaner and used it, but the error remains and the unit will still not work.  Do you have any ideas?  Thanks!  Gordy

It is almost 9 years old...You have tried cleaning it.
They are cheaper to replace than to repair.

You can buy a brand new in-dash SINGLE disk cd player that plays mp3 and reads CD-R cd's (up to 256 tunes per cd!)... with mounting kit and wiring harness adaptor (no need to cut vehicle wires) at walmart for under 100.00. You cant come close to that amount of listening time with normal
cd's [even using 10-20 of them].

Don't get mad, get excited!
Wish I had better news but that is the professional call on it.
