Answer
Dear Diomedes,

I checked both the set-up and user manuals for your model, and there's nothing in either that directly addresses your issue. However, Kenwood does have on-line support on their web site, www.kenwoodusa.com (use the "contact" link). I suggest you contact them directly.

(Some of the on-line literature would seem to indicate that the VFR-V9993D was sold in Europe only, so you may have to try a European site. Go to www.kenwood.com and choose the link to either your country or simply "Europe".)

At first blush, it seems as if your speakers have too "low" (4 ohms or less) impedance for the Kenwood unit to handle, which would cause the speakers to overload the amplifier and shut it down once the unit became warm or played too loudly. I think Kenwood will be able to assist you in resolving this problem.

Kindest regards,

Kevin
