Audio Systems: Dodge Infinity Radio Replacement, power antennae, infinity system

Question
My van is a 94 Caravan with the premium infinity sound system.  The Infinity am/fm cassette unit went bad and I replaced it with a VRCD400-USB over the counter unit. The new unit powers up fine and seems to work fine. The problem is that only the front two speakers areworking.  The door speakers make no noise at all and the rear speakers make very little noise.  I know there is a wire in the number one position of the black fitting that plugs into the back of the old radio that might power the premium speakers.  I'm not sure where that wire should be attached.  All the wires coming out of the new unit are attached with the exception of the power antennae wire.

I sure appreciate any insights you might have on this issue.  Thanks!

Answer
Mike,

the problem is your OEM amplifier for the infinity system isnt working... since it took its sound feeds from the OEM unit and harness you now have to mend the 2 together ... radio shack should have a harness that is made for the infinity system that will allow you to connect everything together ... the problem is they usually arent very cheap but its worth checking out .... other than the right harness you will need some wiring diagrams which usually can be aquired by buying a haynes repair manual for your vehicle in the back of the book they have all the schematics you need to run new wires to power up the oem amp.... hope this helps you out

thanks
