Audio Systems: Err on my car CD-Player, car cd player, dodge neon

Hi Cody,
I had a working CD-player on my Dodge neon car, year-2002, once cd-got sucked and after few tries i was able to remove it, but after that it stoped working and gives "Err" on the display when a Cd is inserted.
Now i bought a similar aftermarket CD-player from e-bay,unfortunately this also gives me same "Err" on the display when a cd is inserted.
Iam not sure what could be the problem,
can you please help me on this.
FYI- The AM/FM,clock works fine on both of them.

 its very strange that you have the same problem with both units that are different, if you are using burned CD's this could be a problem alot of OEM units wont read burnt cd's but since the unit is aftermarket it should, but if you havent already try a "real" cd to see if you get the same results... if you do i would suggest calling the manufactor just to see if they can shed some brand specifics on the problem... from all of my experience i've never had plain read errors that have been caused by any direct source in the car usually its a weak laser or such in the player itself... so this is strange, thats why i suggested trying a variety of CD's to make sure its just not a problem with one of the discs.... let me know if you need anything else
