Audio Systems: Chrysler car radio works but has no display, audio consultation, chrysler car

Question
I have a Chrysler Model P4704302, (issue 1, date code 3004, Supplier No. 26777, Serial number TB1AA300429668) from a 95 Dodge Stratus.  Everything works well (including the CD changer) except for the display which is blank.  The solder connections were checked and resoldered just to be sure.  There is still no display.  Can you help with the location of the power section for the display and how to get at it.
Thanks,
Mike

Answer

I provide audio consultation and advice. I am not a 'repairman' for allexperts in the regular sense of the word. Blame thier poor categorization. Putting all of mobile audio in to one category labeled 'repair' is the problem.

I can indeed advise you based on my user/designer/technical experience:

You will go through all of this (maby even fixing it) and you will still have a 10 year old mobile audio unit.
I would never suggest repairing any mobile head unit/system over 7-10 years of age. Many of the factory units are known for developing cold solder joints (Ford, Chrysler to name a few), and they are difficult problems to solve, at best.

Sorry, but I cannot help you more.
If you are seeking a walkthrough on repairs, you will have to try another expert.
