Audio Systems: CD player not working, 2003 chevrolet tahoe, chevrolet tahoe

Question
I turned the ignition switch on just to activate the CD player to eject one of six CDs. I failed to turn off the key so my battery ran down. When we jump started the car, the CD player mode was still on. I still have five CDs in the player. The CD icon flashes, but when I try to eject the other CDs, the message center says there are no CDs. Do you think there is some fuse or something that was damaged during the jumping off of the car? We have a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe.

Answer
I offer advice and consultation, so since I have no experience with that problem, I have to say:

Possibly, but I would tell you to ask the dealer about it (or whomever installed it, if it is aftermarket).
*You might check to see if the unit has a reset button. If it does, push it for 3-5 seconds.

Although the problem may not be from jump starting it, you really should consider the delicate nature of todays vehicles when jump starting in the future. A professional is not cheap, but they are liable if they break something. :-P
