Audio Systems: AC Delco Truck Stereo, ac delco, stereo tape

My dad had a jammed cd in the cd player in his truck(which is a seprate player from the stereo tape deck)and after that it did not work! I found a trace on the stereo tape deck going to the cd player which was burnt and I repaired this! I haven't been able to test the actual CD player yet but the stereo tape deck fits in my Grand Prix and I had it going then the sound cuts out on the left channel? Turn of ignition for awhile and start it up again and after a 1 or 2 minutes cuts out again!  Any idea where to look... I'm thinking maybe left amplifier IC.....any help is appreciated!!!

If the speaker load is correct, you are out of my league as I would need a schematic.
Entirely possible it is an IC but it could be a trace as well.
*I might add that Delco's are notorious for developing cold solder joints over time.


We used to have some great experts for this type of thing but I do not think Mr Clark is with us anymore.
