Audio Systems: Panasonic DF88, 1990 nissan 300zx, nissan 300zx

Hi Tim,

I just recently bought a 1990 Nissan 300zx from a private owner.  The car came with a Panasonic DF88 flip face cd player...the problem is, when I put in ANY cd, the player reads it for a moment, displays zeros, and then ejects the cd.  I stopped by Circut City, but they said I just need a new player...any suggestions?

Of course CircuitCity will tell you that you need a new CD stereo, thats how they make money selling new stereos. The problem with your CD player may be something as simple as a very dirty laser pick up lens. You may want to have someone do a manual cleaning of the lens in the laser pick up.
