Audio Systems: Car Speaker Installation, stock speakers, delco electronics

Question
Thx for the help. I managed to get everything apart etc. The factory clip doesnt work with the Pioneer Speakers so I cut if off and stripped the wires, waiting to attach the ones that came with the speakers. However there was no previous way, and I still cannot figure out which wire is + and which is -. On the driver's side, the wires are green and orange, on the passenger side a light green and blue. Any siggestions?
Thanks Again.

Question -
Hi I own a 1995 GMC Sonoma Regular Cab Truck. I recently purchased and installed a Pioneer Deck (DEH-1700) and Alpine 6.5" speakers(SPS-170A), which are mounted in the door panels. I got them both installed at best buy. I thought I would be able to get by without replacing the stock dash speakers, and save money at the same time. However I more recently purchased a pair of 4x6" Pioneer (TS-A4670R) also from Best Buy. However I am not willing to spend the extra money on getting them installed as i hear it is quite simple. But it seems I am already stuck. I removed the grille for the speakers, and unbolted the speakers but I cant get the stock speakers disconnected and once I do im still not too sure how to install them. The stock speakers are dead and are making my Alpines sound bad lol so i need to replace them but there is no way im paying another $40 for a simple installation. The stock speakers, also 4x6"s read the following on the back: REV.00, Delco Electronics,16157267, 10 OHM, 4BN5S. What I would like to know is step by step, how do i remove and disconnect the stock speakers and intall the new ones. I really appreciate any help. Thank you very much. Have a good one.

"but there is no way im paying another $40 for a simple installation"

Ovbiously, this one is not so simple. Paying an installer to install them is not a terrible idea when you consider that they gaurantee their wiring for the life of the vehicle and it will be done correctly in under 30 minutes.

I do not do step by step sessions for installations, but I can provide some consultation/advice as to getting ahold of the correct expert for this one!

Answer

The best method involves a 9v DC battery and some wire to determine which is positive and negative.
