Audio Systems: car stereo, mitsubishi galant, dome light

What do I do? I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant. The other day i got in my car and the dome lights wouldnt turn on so i just left it alone. The next morning my cd player wouldnt work. It said Code and there were 4 dashes. I tried putting in 2 random codes that didnt work. Then when i got to were i was going i tried 1234 and it didnt work either and now whenever i try to turn on my cd player it sais Off. I Changed the Fuse for the lights and they work but all other fuses are fine. What do I do?

I don't have any data for the 2001 Mitsubishi galant stereo so I can't tell you if the dome light control goes through the stereo. To reactivate the stereo you will need the correct four digit access code for the stereo. Once you have the correct code you can try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes and then reconnect it and enter the correct code. If this doesn't help the stereo will need to be repaired.
